Security Door Guide: Bars Or No Bars

Front door min

Front doors are essential pieces in any home. Aesthetically speaking, it’s what is seen from the outside. It can either impress your neighbors or turn them off entirely. Front doors set the mood entirely because it is most likely the only thing people can see of your home when walking or driving by. The second this is that the front door entry gives you access to come in and out while protecting the home from others that shouldn’t come in. If you have a good front door, then it should prevent people you don’t necessarily want to come in. Front doors, however, are very weak to protect. If someone knows how to pick a lock then you become susceptible to the outside world once again, no matter how pretty the door. I would say that out of all the functions a front door may have, protection is the most important one. You just never know what could happen. I’d rather take the extra step to ensure safety of my home and family. That’s why some people invest in security door installation.

What is a security door? It is a door specifically to designed to protect. It is made so that the lock is not as easy to pick and the door isn’t as vulnerable as say a regular wooden door. There are many types of security doors available on the market. They usually have some type of bars made from a heavy-duty metal like steel or aluminum. All security doors must follow certain guidelines but can vary in color, design, and other areas. In certain places of the country, you can see security doors installed more frequently. For example, if you go down south to Florida where the older cities are, there are many homes with bars. Tropical places like Puerto Rico and Dominica Republic have them everywhere too. Burglary is high in those types of places so protection is a must when moving to a new home.

Do I need a security door? Maybe you do or maybe not. It’s up to you, whatever makes you feel safer really. They are an added benefit to add to any home or business for extra protection, that’s for sure. If you are considering adding a security door to your home I would suggest getting a professional to do it for you. Less room for error and that is something you want done correctly on the first time. 1. Hello!
We are in need of having the security bars removed from our home.
There are 13 windows with them all on the ground floor.
Most of them have 4 bolts each.
Let me know if the is something you can do?

    Thanks!
